About me
Jennifer R. Williams, JD is an Extension Engagement Specialist for the University of Missouri Extension, serving six counties in Southeast Missouri.
As an Engagement Specialist, Jennifer is a resource for county Extension councils, providing training, guidance, and support to the council as it oversees the county’s educational programming and local office management. Jennifer also remains active as an Extension educator, offering courses in Estate Planning and facilitation of community-driven strategic planning programs related to broadband expansion, such as Digitally Connected Communities.
Prior to joining MU Extension in April 2020, Jennifer was a practicing attorney licensed in Missouri and Arkansas. Jennifer obtained her law degree in December 2011 from the University of Arkansas – Little Rock Bowen School of Law and, while in law school, Jennifer also obtained her certification as a mediator through the Arkansas Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission.
From 2012 to 2020, Jennifer practiced primarily in the emotionally-charged fields of family law, juvenile dependency and neglect, and probate law.
In 2002, Jennifer received her undergraduate degree in speech communications education with a minor in performing arts.
